The emotional cost of raising teenagers in a high pressure school culture

A soulful community gathering for Women ready to explore what courage truly means in our everyday PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL lives.

All about “The Invisible Tax”

Wednesday, April 15 at 8:00 pm U.S. EST

The emotional cost of raising teenagers in a high pressure school culture

You prepare your taxes every year.

You account for income.
You account for expenses.

But there is one tax no one talks about.

The invisible tax of being a woman holding everything together while your teenager navigates one of the most competitive phases of life.

The late night worry.
The comparisons between schools, grades, activities, college lists.
The quiet fear that if you relax, everything will fall apart.

And slowly, without noticing, your nervous system begins paying the bill.

This gathering is not about parenting advice.
It is not about the school system.

It is about how you hold yourself through this season.

During this Chutney Charcha which is designed as a Masterclass we will explore:

• Why high pressure environments dysregulate the nervous system
• The emotional labor mothers carry but rarely name
• How identity shifts when children become teenagers
• Reframing the internal stories of comparison and performance
• Practical nervous system resets that bring you back to clarity

You will leave with language, awareness, and tools to support yourself, not just your child.

Because when you regulate yourself, you change the emotional climate of the entire home.

Cost:  Attend the Charcha is completely free. Please be on time to get the true benefit.

If you want to attend the VIP hour (small group) post the Charcha, the cost is $10 and once you register we will send you a payment link. Please note you must attend the main session to attend the VIP session as the VIP session will focus on more personalized discussion.

Registration Required. Please fill out the form below.

About the Gatherings:

These circles are held in person and online, designed as safe, nurturing spaces to connect, share, and reflect.
Each Charcha (conversation) centers on a theme: For example: “The Courage to Be Seen” , “The Courage to Set Boundaries” to “The Courage to Begin Again.”

Through storytelling, guided reflection, and cultural connection, we’ll explore the questions that often go unspoken:

  • How do we honor our heritage and still redefine courage on our own terms?

  • What does bravery look like when we’ve been taught to stay quiet or “be good”?

  • How can we support one another in showing up — fully and fearlessly?

Who It’s For:

We welcome all women who:

  • Crave authentic community rooted in shared values and stories

  • Want to step beyond fear, self-doubt, or cultural expectations

  • Believe that courage grows when women gather and witness one another

Whether you’re navigating a new chapter, craving clarity, or simply seeking connection — this is for you.

What to Expect:

  • A warm, welcoming atmosphere — chai, conversation, and real talk

  • Thought-provoking prompts and small group sharing

  • A reflection exercise to take home

  • Optional continuation in our private Courage Circle online community

Recent Charchas & Reflections:

  • Our January 7 in-person session focused on Visibility, exploring what it means to truly be seen and own your presence. You can read more about it in our blog.

  • On February 9, we gathered virtually for The Courage to Say No, a powerful conversation on boundaries and self-respect. Read more about that session in our blog.

My Story

My own journey has been rather unconventional.

I grew up in a traditional Indian home and moved to the U.S. during the rigid '80s immigrant era. I have navigated cultural transitions, professional pivots, workplace ceilings, and societal expectations around gender and age.

I have faced judgment not just towards my mid-life professional transitions but also for the color of my hair!

Through it all, I have learnt that confidence is not always about an outward presentation. It is an authentic ownership of yourself built with deep daily practice, and subtle mindset shifts.

I now accept, embrace and appreciate the gray, both in my hair and in life, because it’s in those gray areas that we often find courage. Don’t we?

And one more thing, If I feel like it, I am no longer afraid to show up in a Saree at a non-Indian event.

As an ICF certified ACC Mindset, Growth, and Confidence Coach, I specialize in helping people break free from the weight of expectations, guilt, fear and the exhausting pressure of “perfection?”

I’m a practitioner of many modalities such as:

🔹 Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
🔹 Time Line Therapy®
🔹 Hypnosis

Together we create a safe, confidential space for you to find the clarity, courage and confidence to take your next big leap.
